Judy Hudson, Vice President, Texas Division
Judy Hudson joined The PACE Group in 2007
to assist with economic development searches and executive performance
evaluations in Texas.
Prior to joining the PACE Group, Judy was Director of Marketing
with the DeSoto Economic Development Corporation, where she
managed the DEDC marketing budget, developed and managed the
DEDC marketing plan, and responded to projects seeking buildings
and sites in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
Before working for the DEDC, Judy had a long career with TXU
Electric Delivery in Dallas, Texas, serving in several professional
and management positions. Most recently and prior to accepting
early retirement from TXU, she served 10 years as a Sr. Economic
Development Project Manager in the Company's Corporate Economic
Development organization. In that role, she actively marketed
the TXU service area, which covered 1/3 of the State of Texas,
and aided site consultants and individual companies by assembling
and analyzing information on prospective communities and facilitating
all aspects of site visits. While working in this capacity,
she earned the CEcD certification from the International Economic
Development Council.
Previously at TXU, she served as Manager of EEO & Employee
Relations. While in that role, she developed, implemented and
managed the Company's Affirmative Action program, advised management
in dealing with employee disciplinary issues, participated as
a facilitator and presenter in Company in-house supervisory
training programs, and participated in the college recruitment
program.
Judy is a graduate of Louisiana State University, the Economic
Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma, and completed
the Graduate Marketing Certificate Program at the SMU Cox School
of Business. She and her husband Larry are members of the First
Presbyterian Church of Garland, where she has served as Moderator
of the Diaconate.
