Position Purpose
The principal role of the President shall be
to function as the Chief Executive of Trinity Health and its
affiliates. Functioning as the representative of the Board
of Directors the President will act as the Chief Executive
Officer of the organization in all respects as authorized
by the Board. The President shall be vested with the authority
and responsibility to act; subject only to such policies as
may be issued by the Board of Directors and which has not
formally been designated to some other person to so act. The
President will serve as a key figure in development and implementation
of strategic planning, staffing and operations for the organization.
Nature and Scope:
The President/CEO is responsible for overall
management and operational development of Trinity Health.
Environment
Trinity Health is a privately owned not-for-profit,
multi-specialty, integrated health care facility. Trinity
Health provides healthcare services to north central and western
North Dakota and eastern Montana with two hospitals, 2 nursing
home and 8 clinic locations. At the present time the medical
staff numbers approximately 112 physicians, 8 Optometrists,
3 Podiatrists and is supported by 2500 medical, technical
and administrative positions.
Functions
* Overall responsibility for the establishment
of strategic goals and objectives of the organization. With
the assistance of the Senior Management staff establishes
appropriate time tables for the implementation of organizational
objectives.
* Instrumental in policy development and responsible
for advising board on formation and execution of all policies
established by the Board of Directors
* Develops and submits to the board, for approval,
operational plans for the conduct of the business and the
delivery of health care services making recommendations and
suggestions for change when necessary.
* Oversees the preparations of the annual budget
process so as to develop projections of expected revenues
and expenditures and submits the budget to the Board of Directors
or executive committee for approval.
* Responsible for overall operations and the
financial viability of the organization. Oversee the organizations
quality performance and supports Trinity Health's quality
initiatives.
* Will approve all operating policies and procedures
and appoint appropriate staff to ensure documentation, implementation
and compliance.
* Responsible to maintain effective lines of
communications with medical staff, the community and all levels
of supervision and staff.
* Ensures that the organization is compliant
with regulatory requirements.
* Participates in all board activities by attending
all meetings of the board and service on the various committees
thereof. Attends and serves on professional/civic service
organizations as directed.
* With the assistance of Human Resources staff
will ensure appropriate staffing levels and the development
of appropriate recruitment and retention strategies.
* Collaborates with all agencies regarding resources
and services for improved patient care.
* Maintains professional growth and development
through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
* Performs other related duties as assigned
or requested.
Position Requirements
* Bachelors Degree
* Masters Preferred in Business Administration and/or Hospital
Administration
* 3+ years Senior Healthcare Management Experience
